24 December 2025	We are pleased to announce that Attorney Yohei Ito has passed the 2025 Marine Procedure Commission Agent Examination and was registered as a Marine Procedure Commission Agent effective December 24, 2025. With this qualification, Mr. Ito is now authorized to perform exclusive maritime agent duties, including tonnage measurement, drafting seafarer employment rules, and procedures related to seafarer dispatch and placement services, further enhancing our firm’s capability to meet our clients’ diverse needs.
16 December 2025	Attorney Michio Aoki delivered a lecture on “Fundamentals of Contracts for Offshore Wind-Related Vessels” at the Graduate School of Law, Waseda University.
5 December 2025	Attorney Yohei Ito authored an article entitled “Meaning of the ‘Causal Fact’ of a Maritime Lien— A Study on the Scope of the Theory of Lex Rei Sitae at the Time of Completion of the Causal Fact,”which was published in International Private Law Yearbook (Vol. 27, 2025).
3 December 2025	Attorney Michio Aoki served as a speaker at the Tokio Marine & Nichido Offshore Wind-Related Vessel Seminar, presenting on the latest contractual and regulatory developments concerning offshore wind-related vessels.
27 November 2025	Attorney Michio Aoki published “Maritime Law in the Reiwa Era (39): ‘Special Port Tax’ Shakes Maritime Practice – How Shipowners and Charterers Should Prepare” in The Japan Maritime Daily.
